Privacy Policy

CPR4Kids ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it when you visit https://www.cpr4kids.org or purchase access to our video library.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address: the address you enter before paying, used for account access, login codes, purchase confirmations, and checkout reminders if you do not finish.
• Payment records: the date, amount, and Stripe reference numbers of your purchase, used to set your access period and answer billing questions. For members who joined under our earlier PayPal subscription, we also keep the PayPal subscription ID.
• Login codes: temporary codes we generate and email for passwordless sign-in.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect passwords. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card information.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide access to purchased video content
• Send one-time login verification codes and purchase confirmations
• Confirm payments and access periods (including via Stripe webhooks)
• Respond to support inquiries
• Improve site security and performance

3. Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, Stripe shares your email address and payment confirmation details with us according to Stripe's policies. Review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com.

4. Email Communications

We send login codes and purchase confirmations to the email address on the account. Those messages do not include an unsubscribe link, because they are how you sign in and how we confirm a payment.

If you enter an email to start checkout and do not finish paying, we may send up to three reminder emails from info@cpr4kids.org: about 10 minutes later, about 5 days later, and about 30 days later. Each of those emails has a link to stop receiving them. We stop the reminders if you pay, if you use that link, or after the third email. Using that link also keeps the address off any future newsletter. Paying stops the reminders and does not, by itself, remove the address from a future newsletter. We do not sell your email address.

If you try to log in with an email that does not have access yet, we save that address and do not email you then. If you do not finish signing up, we may send one reminder about 10 minutes later, with the same link to stop. We do not send that reminder when the attempt looks automated.

5. Cookies & Sessions

We use session cookies to keep you logged in after verification. These are essential for the service to function and expire when you log out or after a period of inactivity.

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our pages, and the Meta Conversions API when a purchase is completed. That purchase report includes the amount, the currency, a one-way hash of the email address used at checkout (not the email address itself), and the browser identifiers the pixel sets. We use this to measure which ads lead to a purchase. See Meta's policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and payment records while your access is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Login codes expire within 15 minutes and are marked used after verification.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, secure session handling, and parameterized database queries. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us at info@cpr4kids.org. The end of your access period does not automatically delete historical records we may be required to retain.

9. Children

Our service is intended for adults (parents and caregivers). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
